IMPORTANCE OF BODY LANGUAGE AND MICRO-EXPRESSION AS A PART OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Body language is very important for the employees for their daily activities. With the busy life they employees have no proper time to communicate each other with words P., & Nawaratne, N. N. J. (2015). If they started to chat with each other it will result to waste their time through extending the chat and this will adversely affect to the employees through inability to manage their daily tasks the day. Hence body language provides a very good opportunity to share ideas with each other in one second Laursen, K., & Foss, N. J. (2013). Currently, most companies prefer for open culture environment and employees work in open areas. If people are talking with each other’s it will disturb the other people by reducing concentration. Hence employees should be silent as much as possible to help each other and they can reduce the chat due to body language.  This is very important for all employees to build good interrelationships with each other while providing support for each other.

Mutual understanding of each other is very important to build good relationships with the employees. If they can understand each other this provides an opportunity to share ideas or situational factors of each person P., & Nawaratne, N. N. J. (2015). Sometimes there will be some people they are mostly with sadly due to personal issues. They will not be able to perform well in the company due to the high level of stress in relation to a personal issues. Employees will not be able to manage all issues by themselves. If they have support from others, they will be able to resolve those issues and reduce the level of sadness. Therefore, if any employee has a specific reason for sadness or anger always there will be a specific reason behind that. If employees have mutual understanding about each other facial expression provide common gridline to understand the situational impact of relevant person and others will be able to help to resolve the issue S., & Schroeder, R. G. (2003).

Hand gestures provide common understanding about the communication method, and this provide number of benefits for the employees of the company. Even for the boss and employees there will be hand gestures to understand the common communication techniques P., & Nawaratne, N. N. J. (2015). Hence this will provide an opportunity for the to communicate with each other quickly for fast decision-making.

A classic example took place in my office environment last week, where that there was a classic situation which   I could use the knowledge of body language and micro expressions to   do nonverbal communication. I had a colleague who was pregnant and was going through high level stress due to certain issues with her husband and also the maternity issues. As a result, her performance has come very low. The accountant person is an old lady, and she seems to have developed a jealousy due to the college being pregnant as her son is suffering through certain fertility problems. However, the accountant used to take advantage of the poor performance and blast the college based on her weakness in the reports. At this particular day I was showing certain reports to the accountant. She was not having good day and has been blasted by the finance emanager.0She was trying to find and opportunity to vent her anger away. I was able to recognize this easily through her body language. Also, I saw the pregnant lady college   trying to enter the room and she also seemed sick and wanted to take a short leave. I could recognize that from her body language and micro facial expressions. At that moment I immediately signaled her from my facial expression and also body signs that the accountant was having and day and it was  not the right moment to  enter the room. This was instantly proved as that the next employee who entered the accountant’s room got severely blasted. And the pregnant lady thanked me   for saving the day. Through this experience and also   from the curriculum areas I was able to learn that in a workplace culture, body language plays a vital role in the employee’s communication with each other. Eye contacts and finger massages are commonly used by employees to convince massage easily.  It is providing a facility for the employees to understand what the other person is saying. Also, body language help to interpret people’s moods and emotions L., & Prennushi, G. (1995). It also helps a conscious understanding of each other. The micro expression refers to facial expression and this provides an understanding of the employees in each stage according to the workload of the situation P., & Nawaratne, N. N. J. (2015). If he is stressed or stuck situation others can understand it very easily and can give their support by reducing the talking with others. Especially employee’s work in an open environment culture there should be a mutual understanding of each other. Because when people answer the telephone loudly it will disturb another person. This body language help to avoid those disadvantages by sharing ideas with each other in the company.
